Overview
NutriScan required a cohesive set of materials to support their saliva-based food sensitivity testing product—from consumer education to clinical intake and product packaging.
The goal was to translate technical veterinary information into a clear, trustworthy, and user-friendly system that could function across multiple touchpoints.
Scope
Tri-fold brochure (consumer education)
Product packaging (box design)
Patient intake and instruction forms
Information hierarchy and content structuring
Visual system development across all materials
Design Challenge
The project required balancing:
Clinical accuracy with approachable communication
Dense technical information with clarity and usability
Consistency across consumer-facing and professional materials
Each piece needed to function independently while remaining visually and structurally aligned.
Design Approach
The system was built using a guided narrative structure:
Problem → Solution → How it works → What’s tested
Key design decisions included:
Strong visual hierarchy to improve scanability
Color segmentation to organize complex information
Integration of provided illustrations within a clean, modern layout
Consistent typography and spacing across all formats
System Thinking
Rather than treating each piece as a standalone deliverable, the work was developed as a unified brand system:
Brochure educates and builds trust
Packaging communicates product and credibility
Forms support clinical workflow and usability
This ensures consistency from first touchpoint through product use.
Outcome
The result is a clear, approachable, and scalable system that:
Simplifies complex diagnostic information
Supports both consumers and veterinary professionals
Maintains brand credibility across all materials
