Concept
As graphic designer for the national professional league, I led the visual storytelling of World Team Tennis through editorial design that captured its legacy, personalities, and cultural impact. The concept focused on bringing energy and narrative to the sport, highlighting not just match results, but the people, moments, and experiences that define the league.
The approach balanced history and immediacy, using design to connect past achievements with current-season excitement.
System
A flexible editorial system was developed to manage complex, fast-changing content while maintaining consistency:
Hierarchy: Structured layouts to balance photography, statistics, sponsor content, and storytelling
Typography: Dynamic scale and clear readability to reflect movement and energy
Imagery: Integration of archival and real-time photography to connect past and present
Brand Integration: Seamless incorporation of league and sponsor identities across all materials
The system allowed for rapid updates while preserving a cohesive visual language.
Execution
Designed multi-page editorial spreads for national tennis publications and league materials
Created content distributed to subscribers, live events, and sponsor audiences
Structured layouts to showcase players, teams, sponsors, and key milestones
Worked under tight, event-driven deadlines, adapting layouts based on last-minute player participation and approvals
Integrated sponsor messaging within editorial content while maintaining design integrity
Produced print-ready files aligned with publication standards and fast production timelines
Outcome
The final materials elevated how World Team Tennis communicated its story—delivering engaging, high-quality content across print and live environments. The work supported fan engagement, sponsor visibility, and league branding, reinforcing WTT’s identity as both a professional sport and an entertainment experience.
